I am so pleased to be producing and starring in the upcoming musical, “A Rose for Peggy," Peggy Sings Leiber & Stoller. The musical is based on the life of Peggy Lee and showcases the music of Leiber and Stoller. Ms. Lee recorded this material on the 1975 album, "Mirrors," which was re-mixed and re-released in 2005 under the title "Peggy Lee Sings Leiber and Stoller." The musical focuses on "the two loves of my life," as Peggy was quoted, music and her husband, jazz guitarist Dave Barbour, "each of which gave me the other. The Leiber and Stoller music used to supply these reflections includes all of the "Peggy Lee Sings Leiber and Stoller" song list; including her great hits: "Kansas City," "I'm a Woman," and, "Is That All There Is."

Please check out the new CD, Golden Earrings. "Joe Beck and Laura Theodore's new CD "Golden Earrings" should be a Jazz classic for a lot of reasons. First, it is the last album recorded by Joe Beck before he passed away on July 22, 2008. Beck was a musician’s musician and his resume includes recordings with Miles Davis, Buddy Rich, Gil Evans, Frank Sinatra, James Brown and David Sanborn. There’s also the chance to hear once again Beck’s invention, the Alto Guitar, a hybrid guitar with two bass strings and four guitar strings.
